About Us
We are House Of Fashion Boutique, ran by myself, Phoebe. My online boutique opened in July 2020, after previously working in retail I just knew this is what I wanted to do!
On the 5th of July, I created our Facebook page and made our first post, within two weeks we hit 1000 followers, by Dec of that year, we moved into a first unit after originally starting my business in my spare bedroom at home, and then we hit 4000 followers. The number just kept going up and up.
I couldn’t believe what was happening.

Our unit became full quite quickly with all our stock and endless orders going out every single day, we stayed the unit for almost a year until I fell pregnant with my little boy, Albie.
I then downsized my unit while work slowed down during my pregnancy and eventually I ended up moving everything back home. My heart breaks a little for the person I was at that time, the constant worry of how I was going to manage everything and keep going while having a newborn. I genuinely thought I would end up packing it in. This was the very last step I wanted to do, but I had no other choice. It was hard to be in one place and another at the same time, so home it was! At first, it felt so weird and still to this day, I don’t know how I managed to fit everything in our unit into my spare room, although I must admit it was so much easier when my son was sleeping, I was packing orders, it just worked! We set everything back up and there I was still doing the lives, still new stock every week, still doing what I loved! But just on a smaller scale. After a few weeks, I’ve got into the habit of working back home again, unfortunately because of my move it meant our postage courier could no longer collect our parcels, I didn’t drive at the time, so the only way was to bag the parcels up, pop them under the pram, and walk to the post office myself. Funnily enough, this was my busiest time ever in business, juggling a five month old, as well as endless lives and endless parcels that the only way forward six months later was to move back into my unit, I officially gave up walking back-and-forth to the post office with all the parcels under the pushchair, some days I did five trips back-and-forth to make sure that all the parcels went that day.
So back to the unit, I go! With the move, my love for the business grow even more. So much so I took on another unit within the same building in one unit with stock, and in the other was my studio.
We then hit 10,000 followers on Facebook, which was such a milestone for me. I never thought I would be able to reach so many people, just imagine the amount of people stood in front of you, Crazy!
For the first year of my sons life, he spent most of the time at the unit with me, now being three years old I understand why he loves going there so much, every day he asks are we going to Mummy’s work? 😁 My unit is now OUR unit, half House Of Fashion, half a toy shop!
Then Albie started nursery, which meant I could spend so much more time on my business, which of course lead to more growth, and eventually moving into our current unit, which is situated in Driffield town. Moving into the town, has led us to more potential customers, by the public, that take notice of our signage as well as opportunities such as partaking in a charity fashion show event earlier in 2024.
I could go on and on about the stories of House Of Fashion boutique and the many wonderful moments as well as stressful times during our 4 1/2 years of business.

It’s definitely not easy but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I couldn’t think of anything else I want to do.
We have new customers joining us all the time, but we also have customers that have been with us since the very beginning and still support me now!
without any of you I would not be able to achieve some of the things I have been able to, your support is incredible and I couldn’t ask for anymore.

hopefully one day, I will be able to meet some of our customers who are not local. We have customers in Scotland, Ireland, Wales, even in Spain!
Although my dream has come true, to have my very own business within the fashion industry. I still don’t know where it will take me, maybe one day we will have a store location so you can actually visit, and shop in store, maybe one day, maybe when I have an extra pair of hands, as they are too full at the moment! 😂
Thank you for keeping me so busy every week, every month, every season.
You are what makes House Of Fashion
Thankyou for supporting a dream,
Love Phoebe X
